Dr. António P. Vale Urgueira, graduated in Mechanical Engineering from IST-UNL in 1977, obtaining his Msc in Mechanical Project Engineering in 1985, at the same institution. In 1989 he received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Imperial College, University of London, and the title of Doctor in Mechanical Engineering at UNL in 1990. He has been an Associated Professor of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department (DEMI) of the FCT-UNL since 1995 and also its President since 2007.

O Dr. António P. Vale Urgueira, licenciou-se em Engenharia Mecânica no IST-UTL em 1977, tendo obtido o grau de Mestre em Engenharia de Projecto Mecânico em 1985, na mesma instituição. Obteve em 1989 um PhD em Mechanical Engineering no Imperial College, University of London, e o grau de Doutor em Engenharia Mecânica na UNL em 1990. Desde 1995 é Professor Associado do Departamento de Engenharia Mecânica e Industrial (DEMI) da FCT-UNL, sendo seu presidente desde 2007.
