Inês Silva Santos received her MSc and BSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the New University of Lisbon, Portugal. Her master thesis, entitled "Quantification of the TMS-EEG response in epilepsy", was done during Erasmus at the University of Twente, Netherlands. The experience abroad took place from February to September 2012. The decision to do such an important part of her studies in a foreign country came from the need to become acquainted with the work that is being done in universities around Europe and to open her mind to other possibilities and challenges in the biomedical field. The knowledge of English obtained during her formative years at an international school enabled her to adapt easily to the multicultural environment found at the university campus.

A Engenheira Inês Silva Santos recebeu os graus de licenciatura e de mestre em Engenharia Biomédica da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. A sua tese de mestrado, intitulada "Quantification of the TMS-EEG of epilepsy, foi feita durante o período de Erasmus na Universidade de Twente, Países Baixos. A experiência num país estrangeiro ocorreu de Fevereiro a Setembro de 2012. A decisão de fazer uma grande parte dos seus estudos lá fora surgiu da necessidade de se familiarizar com o trabalho que se encontra a ser feito nas universidades pela Europa e para abrir a sua mente a outras possibilidades e desafios na área da biomédica. O conhecimento do Inglês obtido durante os seus anos de formação numa escola internacional permitiram a sua fácil adaptação a um ambiente multicultural encontrado no campus universitário.
