Engineer Rik Akse works at the University of Twente since 1980 in the faculty of Science & Technology. After a period of 8 years as a research assistant in Chemical Engineering he has worked on several positions as a coordinator on the border of Education and Research. Besides, he was secretary of the Dutch Research School on Process Technology and coordinator of the Process Development School of the University of Twente. Since 2002 he is the Faculty Coordinator International affairs and responsible for recruitment, selection and guiding of International MSc and Exchange students.

O Engenheiro Rik Akse trabalha na Universidade de Twente desde 1980, na Faculdade de Ciência e Tecnologia. Depois de um período de oito anos como assistente de investigação em Engenharia Química, trabalhou em diferentes postos como coordenador da Comissão de Educação e Investigação. Além disso, foi secretário da Dutch Research School on Process Technology e coordenador da Process Development School da Universidade de Twente. Desde 2002 é o Coordenador de Assuntos Internacionais da faculdade e responsável pelo recrutamento, selecção e orientação dos estudantes internacionais de mestrado e intercâmbio.
