We invite you to attend the 2nd ENURS and ESRF-Day on the 14th-15th February at Pavilhão do Conhecimento, Parque das Nações, Lisboa.

The Meeting will bring together Portuguese synchrotron radiation users as well as scientists from the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) being a unique opportunity to hear about the enormous research opportunities offered by this European Research Infrastructure.

As stated in the first lines of its webpage:
“The ESRF is an international research institute for cutting-edge science with photons: Discovery of the structure and dynamics of our complex world, down to the single atom.”
At the ESRF there are more than 40 specialized beamlines designed for research in areas as diverse as Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Crystallography, Earth Science, Biology and Medicine, Nanotechnologies and Nanoscience, Surface and Materials Science.

- Structural biology
- Structure of materials
- Electronic structure and magnetism
- Dynamics and extreme conditions
- Structure of soft matter
- X-ray imaging

The impact and potentialities of using SR in a wide range of areas are highlighted in some of the latest scientific news of the ESRF - Spotlight on Science.

The national community of ESRF users has grown over the years but there are still many ways to profit even more from the unlimited possibilities offered by the ESRF Research portfolio. This applies above all to newcomers.

The Meeting is organized to provide enough time for networking and informal discussions involving the national community and the ESRF scientists, aiming at increasing the awareness on the advantages of using this Infrastructure, thus strengthening our users community.

Together with poster sessions, there will be oral presentations selected from poster abstracts. Do not miss the deadline for Abstracts submission - 31 January.

We also remind you that participation is free (with lunches and coffee-breaks included) but Registration is required. You can download the program of the Meeting here: FINAL PROGRAM
We look forward greeting you all soon in Lisbon!
