Social Program

Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner will take place at the Museum House José Maria da Fonseca, a family business with almost two centuries of history, and the oldest producer of Moscatel wine in Portugal.

Connecting Program (30 June)

For those attending also the Modelling School, or just for those wishing to get in touch with Portuguese culture, a program connecting the Workshop and the School is also planned (not included in the fee). The program consists of:

  • Tour to Queluz, Sintra, Cabo da Roca (Roca Cape), Cascais and Estoril.
  • Dinner at Coimbra Taberna.
National Palace of Queluz, one of the most extraordinary examples of the harmonious connection between landscape and palatial architecture in Portugal.
The Palácio Nacional da Pena in Sintra, one of the finest examples of the 19th century Romanticism style of architecture. The palace is a hedonistic mix of vividly painted terraces, decorative battlements and mythological statues, all of which stand in stark contrast to the lush greens of the forests that encircle Pena.
Cabo da Roca is the most westerly point of mainland Europe. Around 150 metres above the sea, here you can have a panoramic view over the Serra (mountain range) de Sintra and the coast. There was a fort on Cabo da Roca in the 17th century that played an important part in guarding the entrance to Lisbon’s harbour, forming a defensive line along the coast, especially during the Peninsular Wars.
Cascais is a delightful Portuguese fishing town and is the Lisbon’s coastline most popular holiday destination. Situated on the picturesque coastline referred to as the Costa do Sol, Cascais is a former typical fishing village that has developed into a cosmopolitan, affluent beach town and one of the richest municipalities in Portugal. Cascais is an elegant fusion of decorative 19th-century architecture, traditional Portuguese charm and outstanding tourist facilities
The Hotel Palácio, in Estoril, was James Bond’s hotel in the 1969 film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
Coimbra Taberna is a restaurant dedicated to the cultural and gastronomic traditions of the academic city of Coimbra. It is the first space in Lisbon with Fado de Coimbra. If fado is the song of the Portuguese soul, Fado de Coimbra sets the pace of the heart of the City of Students.
