Objectives of the workshop

This workshop aims at disseminating recent research on shape memory allpys (SMAs) in the tripe perspective of: processing (heat treatment, laser welding and other joining technologies), characterization (structural, thermal and mechanical) and its industrial applications in biomedical, aeronauticas, automotive and civil engineering.

The goal is to bring together researchers in SMAs and discuss experimental aspects of processing and joining these materials, contributing to strength the scientific community involved with this kind of materials.

3ª Conferência Doutoral

Teve lugar no Campus de Caparica da FCT-UNL a 3ª Conferência Doutoral em Avaliação de Tecnologia. Esta conferência realizou-se no dia 5 de Julho de 2013 no Laboratório Leopoldo Guimarães no CENIMAT.

Confirmaram já a sua presença, três investigadores que apresentam key-notes relacionadas com o tema. São eles Torsten Fleischer, responsável da área de investigação de Sistemas de Inovação do Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS) do Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), e ainda Luis Baptista, professor catedrático da FCSH-UNL e coordenador do CESNOVA-Centro de Investigação em Sociologia da UNL, e Carlos Alberto da Silva, professor e director do Departamento de Sociologia da Universidade de Évora).

1st Doctoral Conference 2011 of the PhD Programme on Technology Assessment 

The Conference is part of the PhD programme on Technology Assessment (TA), and will take place on June 9th at the Library Auditorium FCT/UNL with several speakers and with the presentation thesis plans by the PhD students that are already in their  2nd year of research.
