Monday 25, from 18:30 to 20:00: Welcome Reception

The welcome reception will take place at “Casa da Cerca”, a Contemporary Art Centre dedicated to drawing, with a beautiful view over the Tagus river and the city of Lisboa.

Tuesday 26, from 20:00 to 23:00: Conference Dinner

Conference dinner will be served in the estate “Quinta de Catralvos”, followed by a musical show performed by the Fado singer Piedade Fernandes.

Wednesday 27, from 14:30 to 18:00: Tour

Program

Transportation between the Campus and the hotels “Meliá Capuchos”, “Costa da Caparica” and “Almada Business” will be provided in every morning and evening of the conference days. Participants lodged at "Residencial Mar e Sol" can take the bus at hotel "Costa da Caparica". Please consult schedules in the Conference Book of Abstracts.

Optimization 2011 will accommodate a special session celebrating the 60th anniversary of our dear colleague Joaquim João Júdice (Univ. Coimbra), the founder of the Optimization conference series and a well-known researcher in Optimization who had a profound impact on the development of the field in Portugal.
