The International Seminar - Different approaches to STEM education aims to bring together researchers from Mathematics and Physics education to present and discuss different approaches and new trends on STEM education. In this regard, several questions can be raised:

• How to promote interdisciplinarity among the subjects included in the STEM acronym?
• Moreover, how to promote an integrated approach of STEM education?
• What methodologies can be used to an effective implementation of STEM education in schools?
• What professional knowledge is necessary for teachers to implement STEM integrated tasks in class?
• What are the new trends on STEM education and what is the role of Mathematics and Physics education on this matter?

This and other aspects will be introduced in order to bring new insights and more light on future research related to STEM education.
