Integrated STEAM education: a case study in chemistry

Invited Speaker:

Agata Augustinovič, PhD student of Education Research Institute, Education Academy of Vytautas Magnus university. The subject of her doctoral dissertation is “Designing an 8th Grade Chemistry Curriculum in the Context of STEM Education in Order to Improve Student Learning Motivation”. Agata Augustinovič holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Master’s degree in Special Education, she works as a chemistry teacher at Vilnius gymnasium John Paul the IInd. Agata publishes articles on STEM topics, attends conferences and seminars, her the main research interest is STEM education in primary and lower secondary school. Agata Augustinovič is a novice researcher and scholar interested in a scientific work and discovery, as well as in problems of contemporary education, especially in chemistry education, which is crucial for the effective implementation of STEM education ideas in Lithuanian school.
