The Iberian Modelling Week had its first edition in September 2014, through the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra, jointly organized between the Math Students Center of the Academic Association of the University of Coimbra and the Mathematics Computational Laboratory of the Mathematics Center at the University of Coimbra. From 2015, the event went on to be borne by the PT-MATHS-IN (Portuguese Network of Mathematics for Industry and Innovation) and math-in (Spanish Network for Mathematics-Industry). The Iberian Modelling Weeks will be held annually, alternately in Portugal and Spain.
