CO2 Capture using Adsorption-based Separation Processes

The CO2 capture step for sequestration or utilization is generally done by amine scrubbing but cyclic adsorption-based processes are an alternative. Typically, the CO2 will be adsorbed at the lower cycle temperature and regenerated at higher temperature (Temperature Swing), or it can be adsorbed at the higher pressure of the cycle and then recovered at low pressure (Pressure Swing Adsorption).
