Associate Professor since 2012 at the Inorganic Section of the University of Barcelona; Coordinator of the Supra- and Nanostructured Systems (SuNS) research group and vice-dean of the Faculty of Chemistry since 2017. Her y research topics are: Supramolecular Chemistry focused on organometallic and luminescent systems. In particular, currently, she is developing highly luminescent systems containing organometallic and supramolecular moieties based on Au(I) or Pt(II) and also, analysing their interaction with nanomaterials. Applications in luminescent hydrogels’ formation, sensors and luminescent materials among others are under investigation. Her background on luminescence was gained in a 3 years postdoctoral period at the Photochemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry group at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She have been invited to deliver around 20 lectures in national and international conferences and around 10 lectures at international Universities and Research Centres. She has several active collaborations at national and international level with scientists experts on photophysics, biological applications, gold and supramolecular chemistry. She has shared with the major part of them several COST and other European Actions and Projects.
