The workshop will take place at the Library of the NOVA School of Science and Technology.
The School Campus is located in Caparica/Almada, on the south bank of Rio Tejo (Tagus River),
near the beaches and only a few minutes from Lisboa City.
On the south bank of Rio Tejo (or in "the other side", as is known by the people of Lisbon), you will be inspired by the amazing Atlantic coast, with ocean views as far as the eye can see and the ancient fossil cliff. Visit the beaches to sunbathe, walk, run, surf... or just rest and enjoy a dazzling sun set. Here, you can visit the statue of the Santuário do Cristo-Rei (Christ the King Shrine and Monument), the Convento dos Capuchos, a 16th century Franciscan Monastery that is an excellent spot for a walk, or go for a golf match in a protected pine woodland (in Aroeira). More info here. |
On the north bank, only a few minutes by train (Fertagus), boat (Transtejo) or by car, you have Lisboa City! Lisboa is a historical city full of authenticity, where old customs and ancient history intermix with cultural entertainment and hi-tech innovation. Lisboa is a ageless city full of stories to tell, where you feel safe wandering around day or night. If you can, take this opportunity to discover Lisboa and its amazing surroundings, Sintra, Estoril and Cascais, where you will find numerous entertainment options, beaches, palaces, castles, historical monuments... and much, much more!
