Paulo N. Martinho completed a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University College Dublin in 2010. After finishing his PhD, P. N. Martinho continued on his research career and he was a visiting scientist at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) for one year. In 2012 he move to the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon (FCUL) for a second postdoctoral appointment. P. N. Martinho was a visiting professor at Charles University in 2018 and is now a researcher at FCUL. His main research interests are: Molecular magnetism properties in Fe(III) and Mn(III) compounds; Self-assembly and materials development in coordination compounds; Electronic and photochemical properties in coordination compounds; Electro- and photo-chemical conversion of small molecules with first-row transition metals; Materials development for small molecule activation.
