Pierre de Frémont received his M.S. degree in 2003 from Le Mans Université and his Ph.D. in 2007 from the University of New Orleans, in Prof. Steven P. Nolan’s group. In 2008, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the IBM Almaden center with Dr. James Hedrick and in 2009, at the Université de Rennes 1 with Prof. Jean-François Carpentier. He was hired by the CNRS in 2009 and appointed to the University of Strasbourg. His research focuses mainly on the synthesis of metal NHC complexes for catalysis purpose, with a special interest on gold chemistry.
