Staying in the FCT NOVA university residence Fraústo da Silva is encouraged for students (and professors), for the sake of networking and relationship building. The residence is located within a walking distance from the campus, where classes will take place. Although the residence does not provides breakfasts, these will be served in the campus, prior to classes. This is also a privileged moment for an informal interaction of students and professors. Private rooms with shared bathrooms (one bathroom for two bedrooms) are available in the residence, from 1 to 7 July, at a very competitive cost (150 €). Nevertheless, students are free to book lodging elsewhere. |

The School will take place at FCT NOVA campus, in Caparica. Caparica belongs to Setúbal Peninsula and is located on the south bank of river Tagus (rio Tejo), just a few minutes by car, train or boat from Lisbon.
Near FCT NOVA stands Costa de Caparica, with its 15 km of stunning, sandy beaches. These are most sought after by Lisbon region inhabitants, combining a family friendly atmosphere during the day with late-night parties in the several bars spread by the beaches.
In Costa de Caparica, colourful traditional fishing boats are hauled onto the beaches to sell their fresh catch in the local fish market or restaurants. Beach sports, particularly surf, have been attracting more and more practitioners as well as followers.

In the north bank of river Tagus stands Lisbon, a “city full of authenticity where old customs and ancient history intermix with cultural entertainment and hi-tech innovation”. Lisbon was considered by CNN the coolest capital in Europe.
The 50 years old, 2,300 m long, 25 de Abril (25th of April) bridge connects both banks by road and rail. Close to the bridge, Christ the King sanctuary (inspired in the Brazilian Christ the Redeemer), with its arms extended out for Lisbon, seem to embrace the city.
