Call for Papers

 

Abstract Submission

We invite authors to submit their contributions to a wide range of fields of interest around glass.

(The topics will include but are not restricted to)

  • Archaeology/Archaeometry
  • Art
  • Glass in Architecture
  • Conservation
  • Technical Art History
  • History

The theme "glazes", with focus on the glass materials, will also be considered.

Extended Abstracts Abstracts
Extended abstracts (max. 3 pages, including 4 images) will be integrated in the Proceedings book to be delivered at the conference.
When applying for an extended abstract, authors will be considered for oral presentation.		 Abstracts (up to 350 words, with 2 images) will be considered for poster presentation.

Abstracts and Extended Abstracts need to be submitted until 15th of December (NEW DEADLINE).

After downloading and preparing your abstract or extended abstract, please name the file: "Last_Name_of_First_Author-et-al" and send it to glassac@campus.fct.unl.pt.

Authors will be informed about their abstracts’ acceptance until the 31st of January.

 

Artworks Exhibition

Artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their glass artworks at GLASSAC 2017.

Submission of artwork's information will be accepted until the 31st of January.

For submitting your artwork to be exhibited at GLASSAC 2017, you will need to send us pictures and a description to glassac_exhibition@campus.fct.unl.pt. There will be a limit for the number of pictures, as well as for the size and weight of the object, that is now available to download:

Summary of Important Dates

15th December 2016 Deadline for submission of extended abstracts.
15th January 2017 Deadline for the submission of extended abstracts for the Special Day (6th June).
31st January 2017 Deadline for the submission of artwork's information for exhibition at Glassac 2017.
28th February 2017 Expected reply to all authors.
May 2017 Final announcement of Programme
