The main topics of the 6th International Workshop on Numerical Modelling of HTS include, but are not limited to the following:
- Innovative methods and tools for design and simulation of HTS devices and materials.
- Design and optimisation of HTS devices for power applications (energy storage, including SMES and flywheels; fault current limiters; power cables; transformers; wind generators; stacked tape machines; induction heating, …).
- Computation of AC losses under distinct regimes (e.g. harmonically polluted currents and fields).
- Development of tools for integration with power grid software simulators.
- Original application of commercial numerical software packages.
- Improvements in numerical methods.
- Modelling of HTS devices in the power grid, and their interaction with conventional systems.
- Novel applications of HTS materials.
- Open access HTS modelling and simulation resources for teaching, training and researching.
- 2D and 3D coupled electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical modelling and simulation (e.g. quench).
Cuprate, as well as MgB2 materials, are within the scope of the Workshop.
Oral and poster sessions are available in the Workshop.
