Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (FCT) is one of the five schools integrating Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL). This school was founded in November 1977 and nowadays is organized into 14 departments and 18 research centers, in a total of 568 members of academical and research staff.

FCT provides high-quality university education in Sciences and Engineering to 7439 students, through programs of undergraduated and graduated studies, comprising 89 courses.

Daily Transportation to and from the University

The organizing committee will provide buses to transport the participants between the Hotel in Costa da Caparica and the conference site. The trips will be as follows:

• Morning – from the Hotel to the University
• Lunch time – from the University to the Hotel
• Beginning of the afternoon – from the Hotel to the University
• End of the day – from the University to the Hotel

The specific time will be defined later.

Participants that decide to travel on other schedules can do so using TST buses between the stop called “Monte/Univer.” and the one called “Costa da Caparica”, please consult the schedule here.

Directions (by car, from Lisbon Airport to FCT-UNL)

Go west on the 2nd Circular expressway, pass Campo Grande and get off at the Eixo Norte-Sul exit. Follow the signs that lead to A2 Sul and to the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge.

Once over the bridge stay in the right lane and get off at the first exit that says "Costa da Caparica". This exit will take you onto another roadway. After about 1 km get off at the second exit that says Universidade/Porto Brandao. After exiting, drive about 75 m until you come to a roundabout. Once there follow the signs that indicate the way to the University ("Universidade").

You will receive directions on how to reach the campus building from the security guards at the entrance. Alternatively you can use the campus map posted at the page conference website.

Directions (using public transportation, from hotel location in Lisbon to FCT-UNL)

Go to the train station Entrecampos and get into one of the trains operated by Fertagus, with destination Setubal or Coina. Get out at Pragal and, at the same interface, get into the surface subway with destination Universidade operated by MST. Get out at Universidade (the end of the subway line).
