Work experience

From 1987 until 2010 is was Coordinator of the Department of Radiology, Hospital of St. José, Lisbon.

 

From 1988 until the present day is part of the management of Associations of Radiology Technicians of Portugal.

 

Since 2006 Associate Professor Radiology College at the University Atlântica, Lisboa, Portugal.

 

Education and training

In 2010 is a PhD student at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT-UNL) in Portugal on Technology Assessment applied Technology Assessment in the Quality of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Witnessed in the last two decades, an unprecedented technological developments in healthcare. The technologies understood in a broad sense as a body of knowledge, especially scientific, applied to a specific industry plays a key role in medical practice, with ethical, social, organizational and technological.

According to Goodman (2004), the publication of the Intenational Network of Agencies for Health Tecnhonoly Assessment, "the health technology must be understood in a broad way as intervention techniques, medications, equipment, procedures and organizational systems applied in the provision of health care ".

Need for validation of models, information and common practices in the evaluation of health technologies (Niederstadt and Droste, 2010).

It is based on these prospects and other similar concepts which we take as background to the theoretical framework of research.

 

In 2006 with Masters in Political Administration and Management of Health Services, in Univercity Évora-Portugal.

 

In 2003 completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration in Health Technology at the School of Health Technology of Lisbon.
